Once a holiday is confirmed, a contract exists between the Sunways customer and the tour operator. This contract acts as acceptance of the tour operators' conditions, which include their cancellation and alteration policy.
Some travel arrangements are non-transferable, and any alteration made by you or your party may incur cancellation charges up to 100% of the total value of the holiday. Tour operators' conditions are available through Sunways Travel, or on the tour operators' website or brochure.
When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight-inclusive holiday from us you will be issued an ATOL Certificate by the tour operator. This lists the flight, accommodation, car hire and/or other services that are financially protected, and where to obtain information on what to do in the event of supplier failure.
This is an important document. You should retain this as you will need it if your travel arrangements are protected under the ATOL scheme to make a claim.
In the case of your arrangements not being protected under the ATOL scheme, for instance a flight only booked direct through an airline, we strongly recommend adequate supplier failure insurance is taken out. This may protect you in the event of a supplier, for instance an airline, going into administration. Please ask your Sunways representative for details of such insurance.
For further guidance on these booking conditions please speak to your Sunways Travel consultant.
Different countries have different rules on how long passports must be valid for. Since the UK left the EU, people travelling to Europe must have passports issued less than 10 years before the date they enter the destination country and valid for at least 3 months after the day they plan to leave. Please visit the Foreign Office Website for advice.
Before confirming your booking, you are advised to seek advice on recommended vaccinations and precautions from a health professional - either a GP, a practice nurse, a pharmacist, or a travel health clinic - ideally at least eight weeks before departure. Travel insurance is important and should be taken out at the time of booking. For advice please speak to your Sunways Travel Consultant, visit ABTA or the UK Government's Travel Aware page.
